WRITING 4. Effect of technology on communication

Effect of technology on communication

21st century is the century of all modern new technologies and is the era of a new communication level. Technology has great effects of how people communicate with eachother. For me, I agree that it effects people in a good way, but it also has it's negative side. Let me explain the reasons that I think so.

First of all, there are 7.125 billion people living in the world. Communicating through internet is something everybody use to keep connected no matter how far they are. One example would be facebook. Mostly everyone uses this new tech to be friends with their family, friends, colleagues, classmates by posting pictures, sharing info and updating statuses. Another example could be skype, where anybody could talk to eachothber by looking at themselves. This is a great way to keep in touch with people with distance.

Secondly, not only do these people chat and video call, a lot of other things are there to be utilized. Other than interacting with people, we also share and get information in a short amount of time. Long time ago people used to order newspapers, listen to radio or gather up to see the news but thanks to technology we are now able to get as much information that we need, right in our cell phones, tablets and smartphones. Televisions have also updated to smart tv where the remote control is not even needed.

Even though technology has impacted so much in our everyday lives, it also has it's negatives. People connect with their internet so much, there is rarely face-to-face interaction. Children prefer to play video games rather than playing outside. Teenagers spend their time on their physical core looks like.

But the again, technology has both it's effects and deffects of people's lives and how the impact our daily tasks. If we keep a balance between these impacts, we are sure to live a happy and successful life.

The bar chart shows UK's telephone calls, by category in thousand nine hundred ninety five -two thousand two. This bar chart illustrates Local-fixed Line, National and mobiles calls type. You can see from this picture x axis is year and y axis is minutes.

Local calls increased between eighteen billion minutes in thousand nine hundred ninety five to thousand nine hundred ninety nine and decreased between eighteen billion minutes in thousand nine hundred ninety nine to two thousand two. The highest jump was ninety billion minutes in thousand nine hundred ninety nine.

National and inter national calls increased between twenty three billion minutes thousand nine hundred ninety five to two thousand two. The lowest in thirty eight billion minutes thousand nine hundred ninety five to two thousand two.

Finally, mobile calls until growth forty five billion minutes in two thousand two. This change was sharply between in thousand nine hundred ninety five to two thousand two.

In comparison Local calls use better than National and Inter national calls and mobile calls.

WRITING 2 People use computers when they work

People use computers when they work, go banking or everywhere, but some argue that, it will make people isolated and decrease social skiils

Computer have become most used things in our daily lives. Before I write my point of view on this I'll explain people's usage, advantages and disadventages about this.

First advantages and usage. As I said it has become most usage in job, at school and home thing in our daily lives. It makes mathematical calculations faster. Also it is easy way to communicate with friends or family member that live away.

Second disadvantages. It has many disadvantage. I'll name a few. It you sit in frond of computer for too long you get headache backache. When you go to bed and if you turned on your computer your brain wont get nessery rest.

Next my point on people being isolated and have decreased social skiils. I think it's true that people would have decreased social skiils. They may not out from home sitting all day in front of computer playing video games. Some people will say that they would loose contact with reality. But the in another hand we can't blame people whose work would involve using computer in daily base.

But I think the main reasonthey are being isolated bacause. They are being mistreated or bullied. Maybe they are socially awkward for that reason they find computer easy way to treat their mistreated behaviour.

In conclusion I think we must help them to overcome those weaknesses so they can be socially active. (word:233)
